American Idol‘s Kelly Clarkson says her first album didn’t come out in November as expected because she “met with Simon [Fuller] and told him I couldn’t put out a CD that soon. There was no way it could be a representation of me.” She also tells the Dallas Morning News, “I’m going to do a country album sooner or later.” In another interview, she talks about From Justin to Kelly, which opens on Friday, and tells Time’s Joel Stein, “It’s not supposed to be In the Bedroom. And movies the critics like, I don’t understand. Sorry, I’m not that artsy. I loved Waterworld.”
