UPN’s Top Model debuts tonight.
Formerly known as Supermodel, UPN’s new show America’s Next Top Model debuts tonight at 9 p.m. ET following the finale of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Hosted and produced by Tyra Banks, the show follows 10 supermodel-wannabes as they compete with each other for a Revlon modeling contract, a photo layout Marie Claire, and representation. The New York Post says the show “is rooted in the cold reality of professional modeling as represented by the show’s host and driving force, model Tyra Banks,” although Adam Buckman cringes at the bikini-waxing scene. Tyra tells the paper that she’s “so involved [with the show] it’s giving me stomachaches, ulcers and no sleep.”
