CBS chair–he was just promoted from president of the network–Les Moonves’ wife filed for divorce earlier this week after 24 years of marriage. The New York Daily News’ Rush and Molloy report that “[n]etwork insiders have claimed for more than a year now that Moonves, 53, had a special rapport with Julie Chen the 33-year-old anchor of CBS’ ‘Early Show.'” That could explain why, despite her complate lack of any sort of competence whatsoever, Julie has remained host of Big Brother and The Early Show. CBS spokespeople say there’s no personal relationship at all.
