Survivor clips “too expensive” for Real; now part of Yahoo’s pay service.
Last week Yahoo unveiled its new $9.95 a month Yahoo Platinum service, and it features video from Survivor Amazon. CBS’ Survivor web site still includes clips of the show; Yahoo says the footage offered as part of its package is “exclusive video footage to see action never shown on TV.” Previously, Real offered video clips from Survivor via its RealOne subscription service, but it was “too expensive,” the New York Times reports. RealOne also included access to the live Big Brother feeds; CBS has yet to decide who will broadcast the live feeds from Big Brother 4. The service also includes “exclusive” footage from American Idol 2.
+ also: Survivor airs tonight, Wed., again this week.
