Viewers surveyed by HGTV told the network their favorite HGTV show was Trading Spaces, even though it’s on TLC, a rival network. The TLC show was the number one show on cable last week and has “spawned imitators and transformed home improvement television,” the AP reports. That’s promoted networks like HGTV, which once was offered Trading Spaces but turned it down, to air and plan their own design/drama shows.
