VH1 countersues Liza and David.
VH1 has filed a $1.5 million counterclaim against Liza Minnelli and her “husband” David Gest’s $23 million lawsuit against the network. In the countersuit, VH1 says that from David there was “erratic and deceitful conduct that went so far beyond the acceptable bounds of show business eccentricity.” Among other things, “he ordered [a VH1 staffer] to stick her head in an oven ‘to make sure it was spotlessly clean'” and had “a crew member had to ‘stand by [a drilled] hole with a vacuum cleaner in hand so as to instantly remove any dust.'”
