Pop Idol 2 has received twice the number of applications as the first series.
The UK’s Pop Idol concluded a year ago yesterday, but the show is still casting for its second season. However, so far, it has received around 20,000 applications, twice the number that were received for the first series. Applications are due Feb. 28; auditions begin in May; the show will air late this summer. A spokesperson said that the show is once again hoping to audition everyone who applies.
