MTV cancels MC Battle after fight, fails to mention altercation on its site.
A fight at MTV’s Times Square MC Battle auditions yesterday left two police officers with injuries and resulted in four people being arrested–and also led to the cancellation of the contest for now. Only the first 1,000 people would have been allowed to audition, “but overcrowding led to pushing and shoving on the streets,” Reuters reports. Interestingly, MTV’s “news” story about the cancellation fails to mention the injuries, arrests, or altercations. That gives hope for accurate and unbiased reporting as MTV News plans to cover a possible war.
