CBS sues over ABC’s as-yet-unaired I’m a Celebrity…
ABC plans to air I’m a Celebrity–Get Me Out of Here this February, but CBS has filed suit against the network, saying it infringes upon Survivor. According to the BBC, CBS alleges that the show rips off the “format, look and feel” of Survivor; when ABC initially announced plans to air the show, CBS threatened to sue. Now they’ve gone through with it, just as Castaway Productions challenged the UK’s version of the show.
