why isn’t Kelly singing “A Moment Like This” on American Idol tour?
On the tour that features American Idol finalists, winner Kelly Clarkson has not been performing her first single, “A Moment Like This,” according to The New York Times. Why not? The paper says “the reason for the omission is to hold back ‘A Moment Like This’ for a likely solo concert tour by Ms. Clarkson. A little delayed gratification could do wonders for that tour’s ticket sales.” Although the Times’ source is “an executive involved with the tour,” a spokesperson for Simon Fuller “said Ms. Clarkson had chosen to sing the B-side of the single, ‘Before Your Love,’ to give it equal exposure to” the debut single.
