With the addition of New York DJ and hip-hop performer Angie Martinez to the American Idol 2 judges panel, there’s now an even number of judges, making a split decision possible. In the event of a tie, Simon “Cowell gets the final say,” according to the New York Post. The paper also reports that Martinez “had never seen the hit reality show until last week.” She says she was too preoccupied working on her new album and at the radio station.
