Simon, Randy, and Paula will likely be joined in judging American Idol 2 by New York DJ and hip-hop performer Angie Martinez. Reuters reports that she “is close to signing on as the fourth judge.” A DJ on New York’s Hot 97, Last year she released her own album, Up Close and Personal, which includes tracks featuring Mary J. Blige and Wyclef Jean; she was nominated for the Best Female Hip Hop Artist award at the BET Awards this year.
