Pop Idol runner-up “worried” about eventual Popstars: The Rivals bands.
Gareth Gates, the 18-year-old runner-up on the UK’s Pop Idol, says he’s “worried” about the two groups that will come out of Popstars: The Rivals. The UK’s latest version of Popstars will end with the creation of a boy band and a girl band that will compete against each other. Gareth said, “I think they’re going to be absolutely huge–both bands probably will be. … I had better watch my back.”
