Gareth Gates and Will Young, the respective runner-up and winner of the UK’s Pop Idol, have collaborated on a song that is the number one song in the country. After months of battling each other for the top spot with various singles, they performed a duet–a cover of The Beatles’ The Long and Winding Road–which has landed at number one on the UK charts, beating a new song from Oasis.
