casting for hip-hop edition of Making the Band underway.
The production company behind Making the Band is planning a hip-hop version of the show, which has for the past three seasons (two on ABC and one on MTV) followed boy band O-Town. On their web site, Bunim-Murray says they’re “looking for new undiscovered talent in the hopes of creating a brand new Hip Hop musical act”; according to their casting info, that talent also includes DJs. One audition has already taken place, and the phone number for more information connects to MTV, so it appears as though they’re developing the show for MTV.
