X-Files finale will air on one night, directly opposite the Survivor finale.
FOX has announced that the two hour series finale of The X-Files will conclude with a two-hour episode starting at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday, May 19. Previously, the network was going to air the two-hour finale over two weeks. This is significant because, that same night, Survivor Marquesas will also conclude, starting at 8 p.m. ET.
