FOX may buy Britain’s Pop Idol for $1 million an episode.
Move over Britney; there may soon be a new pop idol on the scene. At least, there may be if Pop Idol comes to the United States. Reports that the men who created both Popstars and Pop Idol, Simon Fuller and Nigel Lythgoe, are talking to FOX about an American version of the show. The British version’s finale was watched by 13 million people, and 8.7 million people called in to vote for their choice for the winner.
