Survivor Africa winner Ethan says in an interview with Cleveland Jewish News that Tom Buchanan’s use of the phrase “Jew boy” to describe Ethan wasn’t “racist” or “derogatory.” Ethan explains that Tom “had never met a Jew before,” and says meeting Tom “was almost like a blessing. I got the opportunity to educate someone about Judaism.” He also talks about his father’s death and playing soccer.
