Bunky removed as grand marshal of parade after people object to “his kind.”
After a local minister started a campaign calls to city hall about not wanting “his kind” in the parade, Big Brother 2‘s Bunky, also known as Bill Miller, was asked to not be the grand marshal of Bessemer City’s Christmas parade. Citing safety and not wanting protests at the parade, the city rescinded its initial offer to have Bunky and his partner lead the parade. Bunky, however, has no hard feelings, PlanetOut reports: “They’re all very, very nice…At least the offer was there before getting taken back.” Earlier, the mayor of the town “declared that he didn’t want 36-year-old Bunky and his kind in his town,” the web site reports.
