CBS sues FOX, claiming that Boot Camp rips off Survivor.
CBS and the producers of Survivor claim that FOX’s Boot Camp‘s “premise and format…are virtually identical,” as are the ”harsh and unfamiliar conditions” the shows both require. The suit also says that after CBS rejected the show, it was changed to allow the participants to vote each other off, not the drill instructors as was originally planned. Additionally, a producer from the first Survivor was hired.
+ plus: Fox Family Channel is suing CBS over Race Around the World.
+ don’t forget: Boot Camp airs tonight at 9 ET (back to Wed. next week).
