NBC will add time to Friends, air SNL clips to combat Survivor.
Not content to be booted off the must-see TV island, NBC is fighting back against Survivor 2. USA TODAY reports that “NBC plans to pad episodes of Friends by 10 minutes,” and fill the remaining time, from 8:40 to 9 p.m., with new, live Saturday Night Live sketches. New NBC entertainment president Jeff Zucker says the net is “not going to roll over and die.”
