ABC says Jailbreak and The Runner are still “in active development.”
Despite a magazine story to the contrary, Jailbreak is still on ABC’s reality TV docket and The Runner is in the works, a spokesperson for ABC told Reality Blurred today. “Both Jail Break and The Runner are in active development. At this time we do not have an airdate for either show,” Suzanne Gordon said in an e.mail message.

Last Monday, reality blurred reported on an [ INSIDE ] magazine story by Stephen Battaglio that said the shows were dead and delayed, respectively: “The dead list includes ABC’s show about journalists putting out an online magazine (what could be more exciting?), as well as Jailbreak.” Later, it says, “…Fox’s Wanted and The Runner, from producers Ben Affleck and Matt Damon–have been delayed due to safety concerns.”
