In a fitting endcap to Big Brother, Price is Right personality Bob Barker has arranged for United Activists for Animal Rights to pick up five of the eight chickens that so inspired the creation of Rockford, Ill.’s, hero, Chicken George. The other three are being adopted by a member of the crew. (Maybe a certain producer who’s looking for a new career path?) Barker beat People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals to the punch; by the time they got around to inquiring about the fate of the egg-laying birds, Barker had already made arrangements.

A member of the Television Critics Association, his writing and criticism about television, culture, and media has appeared on NPR and in Playboy, Buzzfeed, and many other publications.
